Visa-free transit
Citizens of Moldova can visit Singapore without a visa if they are travelling in transit from one country to another and their stopover in Singapore does not exceed 96 hours. This visa-free transit facility (VFTF – Visa-Free Transit Facility) is based on intergovernmental agreements.
Moldovan citizens who wish to use visa-free transit must meet all of the following conditions:
-
Present a valid Moldovan international passport;
-
Present a confirmed onward ticket from Singapore (departure no later than 96 hours from the moment of entry);
-
Complete the electronic arrival card (SG Arrival Card) in advance;
-
If the stop in Singapore is longer than 24 hours, provide a hotel booking.
You may leave Singapore under the visa-free transit scheme only by air. The VFTF rules do not apply to Moldovan citizens travelling as part of a cruise tour.
❗ The final decision on whether to grant visa-free transit through Singapore is at the discretion of the immigration officer at the border.
Visa details
A Singapore tourist visa is issued as an electronic PDF file containing a serial number and the traveller’s personal data. No visa sticker or stamp is placed in the passport. Printing the visa is not required, as all data is automatically available in the border control system. For convenience, you can save the PDF file on your phone and show it if requested.
-
Types of visa. Depending on travel plans, citizens of Moldova can obtain a single-entry, double-entry or multiple-entry visa to Singapore.
-
Validity period. The visa is valid for 9 weeks from the date of issue. You may enter Singapore even on the last day of the visa’s validity.
-

SG Arrival Card
In addition to the visa, a valid SG Arrival Card (electronic arrival card) is a mandatory requirement for Moldovan citizens entering Singapore. The form can be completed independently on the ICA website or in the MyICA mobile application, no earlier than 3 days before arrival.
If you are worried about making a mistake or find it difficult to complete the English form, it is safer to entrust the arrival card to experienced visa specialists. This will save you time and help you avoid possible errors.
