What is the SG Arrival Card?
The SG Arrival Card (arrival card, immigration card) is a mandatory document required for every tourist arriving in Singapore. You can fill in the immigration card no earlier than 3 days before your arrival in the country (including the day of arrival). This can be done in three ways: on the official ICA website, via the MyICA mobile application, or via the Visit Singapore Travel Guide app.
After successfully submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation email with a PDF document attached. The document will contain the number of your SG arrival card (also known as the DE number) and a QR code. You must present the arrival card (printed or on your mobile device) upon arrival in Singapore.
❗Travellers who are in transit through Singapore and do not leave the territory of Singapore are exempt from completing the SG Arrival Card.
❗If you plan to leave the transit area, we recommend applying for an electronic visa to Singapore. Please note that the arrival card is not a transit visa and does not guarantee the right to visa-free transit.
Why the arrival card is needed
The electronic arrival card has replaced the paper form that tourists used to complete on the plane or upon arrival by land or sea. The card contains personal data and the main information about the trip of a foreign national: flight number, date and time of arrival, accommodation details, etc.
In addition to trip details, travellers must answer several health-related questions: whether they have a cough, fever or headache. By completing the form, you help the authorities:
-
track your travel history and health status;
-
provide appropriate health support and recommendations;
-
apply quarantine and isolation rules if necessary;
-
speed up procedures and reduce queues at checkpoints: instead of filling out a paper form and handing it to an officer, you can simply scan your QR code at an automated lane or show it at the counter.
The immigration card also helps to reduce paper waste and the impact on the environment.
How much does an SG Arrival Card cost?
The Singapore Arrival card is provided free of charge. You don't have to pay any fees to fill out and submit the form online. If you are afraid of making a mistake or you have difficulty filling out the form in English, it is better to be safe and entrust the processing of the arrival card to experienced visa specialists.
Details of the immigration card
If your departure dates, flight numbers or accommodation change, you must submit a new arrival card with the updated details. It is not possible to amend an already completed immigration card. No penalties are imposed on the traveller for submitting a new card.
The arrival card is a one-time document. If you hold a multiple-entry visa to Singapore, you must complete a new arrival card for each new entry into the country. This is primarily due to changes in trip details: flights, dates and accommodation.
If, before your flight, you feel unwell and have a high temperature or a cough, we recommend honestly indicating this in the health section of the arrival card. All information in the arrival card must correspond to reality.
❗Providing false information in the Singapore immigration card is punishable by law. Do not take risks and double-check all data before submitting the form.
